Janet & Councilmember Keith,

I have confirmed that this was a not a City of Menlo Park crew. I have also spoken with the City of Palo Alto and confirmed that it was not their crews either. I also have a call into the County of San Mateo and I will respond back once I hear from them.

Stanford has also confirmed that they have not used tankers to spray any pesticides in the area, however they did utilize a tanker truck in this area on Thursday the 12th to apply a liquid fertilizer to a tree. Additionally, PG&E contractors have been using water trucks to spray water on the newly seeded areas near Rural Lane.

May we have clarification on which jurisdiction was doing this? Was it County or City?

This morning I saw a big tanker and a man spraying Round up or some other product on weeds at the junction of Alpine and Junipero Serra RIGHT BY THE CREEK WHERE IT GETS WASHED INTO THE WATER WHEN THERE IS ANY)
Even the county has stopped doing this. This is idiotic. One man (or at least one WOMAN) with a hoe could do the job in half an hour.
