MEDIA ADVISORY: VA Palo Alto To Hold Next Quarterly Veteran Town Hall in
STOCKTON, Calif. -- VA Palo Alto Health Care System (VAPAHCS) will be
holding a Veterans Town Hall on Monday, March 23, from 1:00-3:00 p.m.,
at the San Joaquin County Agricultural Center. The town hall will be
hosted by the VAPAHCS Director, Lisa Freeman, and the Veterans Benefits
Administration (VBA) Oakland Regional Office Director, Julianna M. Boor,
in hopes to learn some of the challenges Veterans may be facing while
trying to access care in the Central Valley.
To be more proactive in assessing the needs of Veterans and their
families, VAPAHCS will host these meetings quarterly around its various
sites of care. Health Care and VBA representatives will be available
during the meeting to help assist with individual cases. All are welcome
to attend but are asked to RSVP at http://bit.ly/TownHallSTK.

The VA Palo Alto Health Care System consists of three inpatient
facilities located at Palo Alto, Menlo Park and Livermore, Calif. Also,
there are seven outpatient clinics in San Jose, Capitola, Monterey,
Stockton, Modesto, Sonora and Fremont, Calif. These
nationally-recognized facilities provide award-winning medical care and
cutting-edge technology. Along with its academic affiliate at the
Stanford University School of Medicine, the more than 6,200 staff and
volunteers operate nearly 900 beds, including three nursing homes and a
100-bed homeless domiciliary, showing its more than 90,000 enrolled
Veterans that they are "Serving those who Served."
