Trendy trendy trendy? Too much trendy in your email Lee. That smacks of elitism but then again, that may be what you want. I would love to think that Santa Cruz Avenue would look more like Castro Street in Mountain View.. lots of sidewalk restaurants, meaningful stores, ethnic retail, coffee shops and bars, and actually, less, trendy trendy trendy. I love the Goodwill and the Cancer Society story and the Pet store, and hardware store. It would be nice to have a store for teens and maybe a novelty and clothing store like Therapy. Menlo Park is a family community. It would be great to have wide sidewalks the encourage walking and strolling and community. I don't like the idea of 2 and 3 story apartment buildings lining Santa Cruz Avenue at all. I am not sure citizens would like that kind of congestion.
