A Vote of Confidence and Gratitude

Honorable Mayor and Council Members,
Many years ago an esteemed political observer and statesman said.....
"The only think necessary for the triumph of evil, is for good men to do
Menlo Park is immeasurably fortunate to have five dedicated, devoted,
passionate, hard working, intelligent, well informed, educated, good looking and
 most of all respectful of what is best for the overall community.
The statesman making the above assertion was Edmund Burke, 1729 - 1797,
born in Dublin, Ireland (my, my, the word Ireland keeps coming up in recent
discussions). Mr. Burke is also credited in saying ....
"Those who don't know history are destined to repeat it",
along with a host of other thoughts that are as true today and they were

Thank you for the many hours spent on a variety of issues addressing the
community. It's a tough job and the city is fortunate to have each of you at
the helm. Thanksgiving may be a month away, but the work you do deserves a
 vote of thanks for a job well done now and throughout the year.
