Serving Those Who Served - 2014 VAPAHCS Marine Corps Muster

For the second consecutive year, we hosted nearly 750 Marine Corps
Veterans for an annual muster to show them what "Serving those who
Served" looks like.

Thank You for making the Marine Corps Muster a huge success! This year,

- Saw 721 Marine Corps Veterans (not including their families),
and enrolled everyone who was not already enrolled

- Vested more than 420 Marine Corps Veterans

- Had more than 70 community partners on hand offering
opportunities in education, healthcare and employment (We're told that a
few Veterans were offered jobs on-the-spot)

With the rain falling Saturday, I can't emphasize enough how very
impressed I was with the amazing adaptability of our staff and
volunteers, who moved most of the activities indoors.

Feedback from the event was tremendous from the participants, community
partners and volunteers. It's being gathered right now, and will be used
to make next year's event even better! We were featured in Sunday's San
Jose Mercury News <http://www.mercurynews.com/> , 103.7 KOSF
<http://www.sf1037.com/main.html> , and the Palo Alto Weekly
<http://www.paloaltoonline.com/> . As always, you can see all the

On behalf of every Marine Corps Veteran at the event, thank you so much
for your tremendous effort and for making a truly memorable event.

Thank you for "Serving those who Served."
