Pope-Chaucer Bridge Replacement

Dear Ms Collins and the San Francisquito Creek Joint Powers Authority ,
We are writing to urge you to support an alternative to flood walls and to minimize the destruction (immediately and over time) of the foliage and trees, including many heritage trees, along the banks of San Francisquito Creek. We have been reading about alternatives put forth by groups such as Save The Oaks which show, thankfully, that there are viable, and in many ways better, alternatives.
As residents of the Willows it would be such a shame to see this natural treasure destroyed. As residents of the planet, it would be such a shame to see even more natural habitat removed. It is very important to us and our families that animals such as Varied Thrush, fox, trout, various birds of prey and many, many others make their homes here in our neighborhood or use this creek along their migratory path.
Please do the right thing.
