Pope / Chaucer Bridge

No one wants walls - it will impact property values, it will change the character of the Willows and remove why many of us moved there, we will mount legal battles to fight it, etc. Please do not pursue any present or future alternative with walls.

No Agreed Goal - at the meeting someone rejected the idea of Pope Street culverts vs. bridge replacement because "any 100 year plan requires bridge replacement". The community has not agreed on a 100 year plan goal. Largest recent flood was a 40 year level. I would be happy with a 40-50 year plan as would many others. Suggest we explore 40-50 year alternative plans. It opens up more palatable alternatives: leave bridge - built culvert, leave bridge - build upstream flood detention basins, at-grade bridge, no walls, etc.

Please help ensure the Willows are not impacted by an over-engeered solution we do not need.
