Chaucer St Bridge

Hello -

This email is directed specifically to Kirsten Keith, who, I understand, is
a member of the JPA, studying potential modifications to the Chaucer St
Bridge and environs.

I plan to attend this Wednesday's meeting, but wanted to go on record now
as being absolutely OPPOSED to either of the 2 options being proposed by
the JPA and the SCVWD.

I have lived on the Creek for over 30 years. I value the trees, the natural
habitat, and the unique environment of which the Creek is the heart. Both
of these proposals would not only undermine all of those, they would
seriously and negatively affect my quality of life and my property value.
And by the way, my property extends to the middle of the channel. Anything
that is planned that would alter the creek bed, or the water running
through it, directly affects my property.

I strongly encourage the members of the JPA to consider other alternatives,
namely diversion of flood waters into upstream culverts or upstream holding

Again, NEITHER of the proposed plans is acceptable. I look forward to
discussing this issue on Wednesday and to hearing creative, and less
damaging, ideas.
