To all who have been working behind the scenes on this issue.....

I don't know much about how this came about, but am sure it has been a challenging situation to navigate, and just wanted to say I think you have handled it well and done a nice job of minimizing the impact to the people of Menlo Park.

Thank you,

New water billing contract selected, water bills coming soon

The City has partnered with Minol, one of the largest and most experienced water billing management companies in the U.S. with over 60 years of experience. Starting February 19, 2020, Menlo Park Municipal Water customers will begin to receive a new water bill, which has not occurred since November 2019, when the previous contractor went out of business.

Your new water bill will have a new look, new account number and include a registration code and instructions on how to register your new account online and sign up for automatic payments.

While you did not receive a bill for the last several months, water service continued and usage tracked. In keeping with the City’s pledge to you in November, customers will not be penalized due to the billing service transition.

Your first new bill from Minol will cover the period since your last bill and will appear much larger than normal. The City is providing customers the opportunity to pay down this bill over the next several months. No late penalties or disconnections will occur due this high bill, if paid in full by May 31, 2020.

If you are concerned about your bill or paying off your previous balance by the May 31, 2020, deadline, we encourage you to contact customer service to set up a payment plan.
