Approval of Moratoriums

From: domainremoved <MARJORIE>
Date: Tue, 11 Jun 2019 15:08:40 -0700

I support temporary moratoriums citywide on all new non-residential construction and increased FAR ratio for existing non-residential construction. I also support temporary moratoriums in District 1 on all new residential construction over 100 units and increased FAR ratio for existing residential construction over 100 units. I believe the moratoriums should be applicable to all pending projects.

Although the existing development cap guidelines were approved within the past 10 years, no-one could have foreseen the changes that have since occurred on the Peninsula, nor the impact of development on the quality of life in Menlo Park. The traffic problems both current and future are obvious; equally important are their impacts on the city infrastructure. Menlo Park residents need to be confident that community services such as schools, water, sewage, etc. are not negatively affected by these developments.

Sincerely,
Marjorie Stone
