Oppose Moratorium

Dear City Council,

I have been a life long resident of the Belle Haven neighborhood. I oppose
the moratorium to stop development in District 1. The traffic in our
neighborhood is not caused by the development or Facebook in the area,
rather the pass through traffic from the Dumbarton Bridge. Stopping
development, especially the much needed retail space, will not help our
traffic problems. The traffic problems extend beyond our community into the
greater Bay Area. Stopping the development of major housing projects adds
to rising housing cost. Many of my neighbors and friends have moved out of
the area during this time due to high cost of housing. We cannot afford to
continue kicking the can down the road. It is inaction and the resistance
of change that lead us to the current Bay Area housing crisis. It is time
to look at the forest instead of the trees. Please do not issue the
moratorium.
Sincerely,
Angel Rodriguez
