Menlo Park Gate House and praise

There are two issues that I would like to bring to the attention of the City Council and City staff.

First, is the condition of the Ravenswood Avenue Gate House white picket fence. The fence is in such a dire need of repair it is embarrassing to all of us that live in this beautiful community. Each time I pass it I can remember just how beautiful it was when it was built. (I think it goes way back to when Mike Bedwell was City Manager?) And each time I pass it I think to myself that it should be brought to the attention of the city council members and the city staff. So after years of procrastination, here is my note to you.

Next, I applaud Councilwoman Betsy Nash and Vice Mayor Cecilia Taylor for proposing a building moratorium, saying they would like the council to solve the traffic and housing problems before allowing more development. Both issues are extremely important and needs addressing prior to approving projects that compound the problems.

Respectfully Submitted,
