Alternative Tenant Relocation ordinances

Dear City Council member,

Regarding the two options pertaining to tenant relocation, I respectfully
urge you to chose "Alternative A," based on the Redwood City model. I feel
that this is the preferable ordinance in that it only applies when units
are removed from the market and to those tenants making less than 80% of
AMI. Unlike Alternative B, this proposal would apply to buildings with 5
units or more, exempting single-family homes, which I believe is hugely
important. It incorporates triggers that focus on a true change of use
or removal of a rental unit from the market.

I firmly believe that encouraging building more housing, especially higher
density near transportation corridors or hubs, is the only really valid
solution to our affordable housing crisis

Please choose Alternative A, and Not Alternative B.

Thank you in advance for your valuable consideration.
