Vote NO on Alternative A

Please reconsider and vote NO on Alternative A, the plan for Ravenswood Avenue railway grade separation.

This plan, if enacted, will severely impact the Linfield Oaks neighborhood. If Alma Street is closed, all Ravenswood traffic will be forced on to Laurel Street. While Alma Street is wide, has sidewalks set back from the street and huge bike lanes, Laurel Street is relatively narrow with sidewalks abutting the street. It also has no dedicated bike lanes, forcing bike riders into traffic. This is a major route for children on bikes on their way to Hillview school. It makes sense to keep Alma Street open.

Why not try a traffic signal with a train preemption at the Ravenswood crossing? This works well at several Caltrain crossings in Palo Alto.
Please vote NO on Alternative A. Thank you.
