City Council,

Hello, my name is Rowan Pecson. I am 12 years old and in the 7th grade at
Hillview Middle School. My family and I bike wherever we can, to school, to
restaurants, to soccer practices, to visit friends, and to basically any
place with in Menlo Park. Every Thursday, I have soccer practice at 4:30 to
5:45 at Burgess park. Coming back from practice, oak grove is the only road
that I can go down to get home. Late at night, people on bikes are hard to
see, and bike lanes make it a lot easier to see cyclists and avoid hitting
them. Since the trial bike lane on Oak Grove avenue was first put into
place, I have felt a lot safer biking down the road to get home. Please
make the bike lanes on Oak Grove avenue because feeling safe is one of the
biggest priorities for me, and all other cyclists, when biking.
