840 Menlo Ave, Menlo Park

City Council,
I support the new project at 840 Menlo Ave.  It's been a dirt lot for far too long, time to improve!  Menlo needs more housing and office space, as it is part of the silicon valley growth.  The building looks good and would make that corner much more presentable.
From the articles that I have read, the opposition seems to be only from the fancy food market next door who is using the street in front of this property, to unload their grocery supply's.  Why don't they use their own parking rather than the city streets?  The market could use smaller trucks and early morning deliveries.  Don't they have a parking lot on the corner of University and Menlo Ave? Would you allow a semi truck to park in front of your house every day, for your neighbors to unload their goods?  I don't think so.  The store remodeled back in the 90's (?), maybe their delivery zone should have been considered, rather than expanding the store to the limits of their property.

With all the proposed building going on in Menlo, this property is the least of our concerns.  The planning commission already approved the designs.  Let's move forward.
