Good morning
I have recently read your answer to our request for a stop sign at the intersections of Central and Elm and Central ad Walnut
As I understand it , the reason for not placing stop signs there is volume of traffic and that you are following the guidelines set by the state .
I believe that it is should not always be the volume that matters in the application of those standards
In both of these cases it is the age and kind of the traffic that is important .Once again ,this is a high volume area for the children of upper Laurel who depend on adults to keep them safe when they bike or walk to and from school.
The pruning of the hedges to improve the visual is a start but by no means is this a way of creating a safe crossing for both cars and more importantly for the children of the Willows
