Opposed to AB1250

Dear City Council,
As a concerned citizen of Menlo Park, I am completely opposed to AB1250.

The The League of California Cities writes:

The workload, privacy concerns, costs and litigation created by this measure places an overwhelming and significant burden on nearly every city department and would create a de facto ban on virtually all contracting services.

This bill was described in an editorial by the Mercury News as a
Union-Sponsored Bill with the clear intent: Increasing the number of public employees, who would be members of unions, rather than looking at outside services that could be more cost-effective.

We need to increase the effectiveness of our tax dollars and AB1250 would do just the opposite.  Defeat AB1250.
Sincerely,
Christian Selchau-Hansen
