318 Pope

Dear City Council,

I'm writing to express some concerns of the Willows community in the area close to the Pope/Laurel island. The proposed structure for 318 Pope St. would be MUCH too large and overpowering for that location, and would effect the peace, privacy and aesthetic landscape of our community. The parking areas have already reached maximum capacity . I realize that the alleyways and parking areas behind our houses is " a grey area for the City", but please understand that we are affected by it on a daily basis. Neighbors have expressed to me that they are concerned that once their children reach driving age, they will need to have cars and parking in that area.

It does not seem right that the established community has to tolerate any and all development, construction, noise, dust, toxic fumes etc. that is deemed fine and dandy because it is being paid for. Simply, we do not like being driven out of our peaceful homes by these upheavals.
