Bike lane discussion tonight

I understand the Safe Schools bike route will come under discussion tonight.   This has been discussed extensively and is the product of significant effort.  Please approve the program.  While some parking will be lost, its impact will be minimal.  There is plenty of parking on adjacent streets.  The end product will be a safer route for kids and for others in the community.  It will make Menlo Park a better community to live in. The City conducted extensive outreach and analysis to push this forward. Please allow the trial program to proceed, if it doesn't work right, then it can be changed. As a case in point, there is a bike route that runs by Trinity Parish on Laurel St. Although parking isn't allowed during weekdays til 6PM, that doesn't pose any problems.  The community mix on the route is the same- apartments and a church. Thank you. Steve Andrew
