Dear Menlo Park City Council,

Thank you so much for the pop up park at Chestnut and Santa Cruz. I love
it! I work at a startup company that is on the 2nd floor above the Hair
Mill adjacent to the park. We have a window looking out to the park. I have
seen people of all ages from babies to seniors and every age in between
enjoying the park at all times of day. I have enjoyed taking my laptop out
there and sitting in the sunshine for a bit. It was also fun to see people
from the farmer's market hanging out in the park on Sunday as well.

I know the park was installed for a test period. I believe the test has
shown that it is being used and enjoyed by many. I would love to see the
park stay permanently rather than it going away at the end of the month.

There will always be people who do not like change or having to drive one
extra block to make a turn but I hope that the voices of those enjoying the
park will ring louder than any who have complaints.

Thank you so much for your great work for Menlo Park. I think the pop up
park is a great addition to our downtown and I would love to see it stay as
a place for people to relax, connect with others, and enjoy downtown.

Thank you for considering this. With much appreciation,

Elizabeth Ouren
